Introduction to options - practice class 2
Vantana Facilities

641 Lexington Ave. Suite 1408 New York NY, 10022

Vantana Education knows the stock market can be a very expensive business to be involved in. Buying any sizable position in a well known stock/company can cost upwards of ten, fifteen or even twenty thousand dollars. When students learn about the power of options, some never go back to trade stocks! An option is a right (but not an obligation) to buy or sell stock at a certain price. Many students understand that the buying of a stock option is similar to renting a house: If you know you’re only going to need the house for a few months, why would you spend $200,000 on purchasing that home, why not rent the home for $2000/mo? Vantana poses the same question to our students: why purchase 1000 shares of a $30.00 stock (which would cost you $30,000.00); when you can “rent” the same amount of shares for $4000?

Harnessing the power of options will allow you to capture higher percentage returns on your investment. Our Introduction to Options will teach you about the power of Puts and Calls and how to replace these Put and Call options with the buying and selling short of stock students learn in Performance Trader. This technique will essentially allow you to buy stocks at a 10-20% discount!!!! Learn how time and volatility effect options pricing. Learn how to use options for managing risk – one strategy that will guarantee you to profit from any open gains in your trade. In the Introduction to Options class, you will also learn how to trade options “spreads,” for bigger profits and lower risk in the market.
